Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the team.

You will be programming primarily in C# but will be expected to work in many different languages and platforms.

The successful candidate for this role will have a strong team leading approach to their work and a good grounding in server-side systems development.

The projects will require a creative approach to the challenges in the industry. The candidate must be able to deliver to agreed timescales and be accountable for their tasks.

Your main role will be to develop and maintain server-side systems. System designs need to incorporate robust code, with strong security models at the centre of your code.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for helping to design and architect a highly scalable and fault-tolerant back-end server systems. You will be working on back-end and front-end development on our server-side systems. This includes remote control and monitoring for real time systems.

You will be working in a growing team and on an existing code base so an ability to expand and maintain existing software in a team is essential.

Focus on creating fault-tolerant, mission critical, secure and intrusion resilient systems.

Writing tests for existing and new code to ensure compatibility and stability.

Complete other duties at the discretion of management.

Ensure and promote the personal health, safety and wellbeing of staff.

Carry out duties in a way which promotes fairness in all matters and which engenders trust.

Skills

High levels of proficiency in:
  • C#
  • .net framework
  • ASP.net core
  • and web back-end design and architecture.


Ideally, also:
  • Kotlin/Java
  • Relational database design
  • SQL
  • Deploying software on Android OS, Linux, and Windows systems.

Team player attitude with a willingness to lead when necessary.

A devotion to continuing education.

Must be comfortable using code analysis tools and writing all code in Test Driven Development and controlled release paradigms.

Experience

You will ideally have a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years' software development experience.
