About the candidate:
  • Must have QTS
  • Must have relevant degree
  • You will need to be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • well-organised, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of Girls PE at both Key Stage 3 & 4
  • you will need to be ready to work with young people both in lessons and as a tutor

About the role:

You will need to be a team player as you will be working alongside 7 other PE staff members at the school. All members of staff will assist in the delivery of PE & Games lessons and a range of extra-curricular activities, including participation in local and county competitive sport competitions.

The school adopts a child-centred approach towards PE & Games lessons. In terms of inter and intra-school sport, competition is encouraged and excellence rewarded. You will need to have a desire to involve and to motivate all students regardless of their level of ability.

This is an extremely successful, non-selective school, with a current roll of 1367, which includes a rapidly growing sixth form of approximately 300 and intense pressure for places in all other years.
