A Main Contractor with multiple office across the UK is looking for a Buyer to work alongside a Senior Buyer within the Procurement Team. It is important the Buyer has a strong understanding of supply chain management and production planning concepts.
Work closely with other departments, especially with design so that you can identify material requirements for each project.
Organise the Procurement Schedule as a key enabler for the buying team alerting any risks throughout the process.
Collaborate with other departments in regard to manufacturing and the construction goals ensuring that materials are scheduled in accordance with the master plan.
Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal partners.
Manage any issues and ensure any required cancellations are carried out.
Technical qualification in a relevant field.
Experience of working in a fast paced procurement and supply chain function.
Ability to analyse complex data and present findings to the Senior Buyer.
Strong skills in Excel.
Build relationships both internally and externally.
