The Company:

A superb Devon opportunity to work in a relaxed yet bustling distribution business where your role will be to lead on the design, development, installation, testing and maintenance of the Company's software systems to meet identified user requirements and to improve the efficiency of the company.

Job Responsibilities:

You will fully utilise your existing C# and, less so, C software development and programming skills.

This is an in house role within a really super company in Devon who are successful, innovative and have remained busy and investing in the business throughout the whole of the Covid pandemic. Working alongside another newly recruited Developer with strong VB.Net skills, your role will be to compliment him as part of the wider team environment.

You will work as part of a team supporting the IIS/Web Server management and will document web services/APIs for end users and technical users.

Knowledge and experience of unit testing experience and a working knowledge of Android/iOS platforms and development techniques and environments would be highly beneficial in this role.

Knowledge of cross-platform mobile application frameworks such as ionic and Xamarin also useful.

SQL skills also very useful in this role.

Preferred Skills:

A relevant degree or equivalent qualification

Demonstrable experience of complex software design

It is essential you can offer evidence of expert programming skills

C# and C

Knowledge of SQL

It would also be advantageous, but not essential, if you have a knowledge and experience of VB and VBA would also be useful

Knowledge of ASP.NET, MVC

Knowledge of HTML5, CSS and Javascript in particular JQuery/AJAX, Promises/Threading in Javascript, JSON and Token based authentication desirable.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

Ability to make decisions on technically complex issues

Strong data literacy and visualisation skills; knowing what visualisation to use when

Working Hours:
