Role Objectives:
  • To define project scope and lead change initiatives to deliver technical enhancements and implementation of finance investment technologies and platforms.
  • Lead successful integration of technologies with little disruption to current BAU work.
  • Develop full project lifecycle plans and implement milestone and task level tracking, identifying risk and managing contingency plans within every project.
  • To identify, agree and manage the resources of budget, people, systems, user and supplier, to achieve agreed project and business objectives.
  • To utilise database knowledge (SQL) and report creation for the support of business as usual queries from multiple departments.
  • Collaborate on enhancing the PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies in use with full project plans maintained in line with these principals
  • Project monitoring and reporting on to all key stakeholders at agreed intervals.
  • Track issues in internal change control system with company-wide knowledgebase updated as required.


Experience
  • Experience working in financial services, ideally in fund investment or asset management.
  • Individuals with experience from a consultancy background who have previously delivered large scale change IT projects into financial services clients will be ideal for this role
  • Knowledge of financial investment platforms such as Charles River and Bloomberg essential
  • Specific experience and understanding of what is required to manage projects through all stages and states, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of database queries (T-SQL) and reporting tools would be beneficial.
  • Experience of financial applications and knowledge of investment management practises.
  • At least 4 years directly relevant experience managing IT based projects to incorporate front, middle and back office requirements.
  • Experience of structured problem solving and highly motivated with a service driven attitude with strong technical aptitude and good inter-personal and communication skills.


Education
  • University degree standard education
  • Recognised professional qualification in project management, ideally PRINCE2 Agile.
