My client, a global FMCG business are currently recruiting for an Engineering and Maintenance Manager which will oversee and lead the maintenance function in our clients refinery/CHP plant. Candidates should have experience in the food/ chemical industry. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main duties of this role will include:

The role:

Ensure full compliance with legislative and company safety regulations/standards and promote a safety culture across the department (reports and contractors).
Collaborate with plant management and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment to the location strategy and to ensure department meets goals for Safety and Health, Environment, Product Quality and Costs, actively participating in audits of these areas where required.
Manage the maintenance engineering team (through goal setting, development and feedback) to ensure staff are adequately trained, competent and motivated to effectively deliver the maintenance plan.
Develop, implement and maintain a cost effective asset management program incorporating Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), Performance Excellence (PE) activities to ensure high availability and reliability of all process and infrastructure equipment.
Develop/oversee planning and scheduling of maintenance activities including planned, predictive, reactive works, reporting maintenance performance in the agreed format and frequency.
Pro-actively drive improvements and innovation of production processes and systems across all disciplines: mechanical, electrical, electronic/automation, developing zero failure engineering activities to reduce repetitive failures.
Manage capital projects according to project management guidelines and deliver related (non) technical projects and day to day activities in a cost effective and timely basis to achieve results.
Ensure effective management of spare parts inventory, maintenance supplies and equipment to meet operating requirements.
Management of PSSR.The Candidate

A recognised engineering qualification with time served electrical and mechanical knowledge or ideally degree level in field of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Production Manufacturing, or other related field.
Experience/Leadership of Reliability Centred Maintenance processes.
Strong experience preferably in a food, feed or chemical production environment.
Strong experience in the management or supervision of a maintenance department incorporating Safety & Health, Environmental, Quality, Production and Project management.
Strong problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills, with a results focused approach.
Strong communication skills (fluent in English) and an excellent team player
Proficient in asset management techniques
