Year 5 Teaching Assistant, Blackburn

The SENCo of a primary school in Blackburn is looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide support in their Year 5 class from 2nd November 2020. The role is until the end of the academic year, potentially longer . Working hours: 08:50 - 15:30.

The role will entail providing general teaching and learning support in Year 5. This will include, but is not limited to, supporting small groups of learners during lesson times, delivering out-of-lesson intervention sessions in English and Maths and providing one-to-one support.

In order to be successful in your application, you must have a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and 1 years' experience in Key Stage 2.

The school is an Ofsted graded 'GOOD' primary school in Blackburn. Behaviour is good. Pupils are keen to learn and they get on well with their teacher and each other. They feel safe and well cared for in school.
