As a trusted recruitment partner to this well-established independent software vendor, we have been asked to assist in the hire of an experienced and passionate Product Manager to help mould their next generation of products. The role holder will be required to lead product strategy, analyse market opportunities, understand customer problems, and ensure the organisation is prioritising their engineering investments more effectively.
Established over twenty years ago with customers in over 100 countries, this organisation, with 20% year on year growth, are a successful and growing software vendor with a global partner and customer base. Most employees including the engineering team are home based in the UK, however the company does have a London HQ and a sales presence in the US. They offer a dynamic and flexible culture where building great software is at the heart of everything they do.
-Leading product strategy, analysing market opportunities, understanding customer problems, ensuring prioritisation of engineering investments more effectively
-Setting product direction, writing new feature stories, acting as a product owner within Agile engineering process
-Act as chief product evangelist, able to explain/demo product capability to prospective customers in addition to capturing new requirements and maintaining a roadmap of feature enhancements
-Provide collateral and key messaging for product marketing initiatives
-Ensure roadmaps are synchronised where required and enhancements are prioritised as needed
-Talking to technical team members, able to assess the cost/benefit of change both initially and ongoing
-Occasional travel to London HQ (monthly or less) to meet with team
Key Requirements / Skills
-Delivery of great software products as a Product Manager
-Leading design and feature breakdown from inception to shipped software
-Hardworking problem solver, designing great solutions for the most meaningful problems
-An eye for spotting product opportunities, understanding customer problems and designing products that deliver value
-A good team player with thoughtful communication skills
-Experience of agile development processes
-Comfortable working for a small company in a role that requires adaptability
-Experience of SAAS products desirable
-(Technical skills not essential)
