Based in central Harrogate, our client is an independent digital company who manage a large portfolio of websites which attract millions of unique visitors every month.
Our client's online presence is continuing to grow, so they're looking for a talented SEO Recruit to join their friendly team.
As an SEO Recruit, you will work alongside a team of in-house Web Managers, Content Writers, Designers and Developers. You'll be responsible for developing and managing a handful of websites and advising and consulting on proposed changes, with the aim to drive organic traffic and site conversion rates.
You'll have a flair for spotting new opportunities and be able to grow the website's search presence through on-site and off-site optimisation. You'll be confident at carrying out keyword research and regular competitor reviews, suggesting tactics and initiatives to increase site traffic and search visibility. You'll also have the opportunity to work on new website launches and projects, working on the initial planning to post-launch optimisation and site maintenance.
You'll regularly be auditing sites, analysing traffic and delivering monthly SEO reports for our client's extensive portfolio of websites. Once established, you will oversee the development and implementation of all aspects of SEO across a range of websites. Keeping up to date with the latest SEO industry changes, you'll be responsible for feeding this back to the team and testing new SEO techniques on sites. This is a key role in driving the business forward by increasing organic traffic to our client's websites.

As our client's business continues to expand, there will be opportunities for you to progress within the role, through day-to-day responsibilities as well as managing and developing an in-house team of SEOs and Web Managers.
You will have a thorough and extensive knowledge of SEO, with an excellent understanding of the principles which form best practice for both on-site and off-site optimisation
Proven track record in delivering successful SEO strategies (not just writing agency SEO reports)
Experienced in using Google Analytics, Search Console and other analytical and keyword research tools
Confident in performing day to day tasks such as on-page optimisation, reporting, link building, technical audits, keyword research, website crawls and sitemap checks
Strong technical skills
Up-to-date with algorithmic changes and industry standards
Ability to edit, manage and publish to websites, with a basic understanding of editing HTML & CSS
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Outstanding attention to detail
Minimum 2 years SEO experience
Our client's team is made up of website designers, developers and digital marketers, and they like to welcome new faces to the team. They work hard at what they do, and their expanding online presence is testament to that, but they don't take themselves too seriously. They want you to succeed too, so all their expertise and resources will be at your disposal to help you develop your skills to their fullest potential. Our client will offer you a competitive salary of £24,000 to £30,000, and 28 days annual holiday (including statutory holidays). Other perks include:
