Welfare Benefit Officer
17 Hours per week
Salary Range £29,442 to £31,207 per annum (pro rata to £14,300 - £15,158 per annum)
Essential Car Allowance
Flexible Location - Stockton or Barnard Castle

During the current, national restrictions, we will need you to deliver some of the services on site and some of them working from home. We will be following social distancing rules and providing PPE, where applicable, during this time. We will provide you with the equipment needed to carry out the role and you will remain connected with your co-workers and manager during this period. We will tailor an induction to enable you to join the organisation and settle into the role.

What are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will have an excellent knowledge of Welfare Reform and the State Benefit System. You will work with the Housing Team to effectively manage the roll-out of Universal Credit by providing advice, support and guidance to our customers for all Welfare Benefits. Experience of the income maximisation and the benefit appeals process would be advantageous.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to contribute to a high performing team and have a good understanding of partnerships and will be able to develop strong working relationships.
