Academy Manager/Sports Teacher


Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum/£92-£103 per day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: 6 weeks relevant school experience. We pay using PAYE, we do not operate under any umbrella companies.

About the role

Vision for Education are delighted to be working with a specialist sports alternative education provider to find their next Academy Manager/Sports Teacher. You will be leading a small team of dedicated staff to support children who are at risk of exclusion. The academy pride themselves on their success in re-engaging learners through sport and developing each child both academically and emotionally to achieve the best possible outcome for each individual.

You will be a passionate sports teacher or coach looking to step up into a management position or an experienced manager looking for a new challenge, and have proven success delivering exciting and enriching lessons to young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The position is initially temporary for an ASAP start, with the view to become permanent for the right person.

To be considered for this position, you will:

Have previous experience of working with young people/adults with SEMH or challenging behaviour
hold a degree in a sport-related specialism
Hold a PGCE or a recognised teaching qualification
Applicants must be available 5 days a week in a full-time capacity
Have a full UK drivers licence and willing to use their car day to day
Applicants must hold a current enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo one and have it registered on the Online Update Service
