Under the tutelage of an experienced CEO and working collaboratively with four skilled Medical Directors, do you want to lead an innovative not for profit £15m turnover healthcare social enterprise providing urgent out-of-hours NHS primary care medical services?

Are you an experienced healthcare operations leader who understands primary care at scale, and skilled in developing corporate and clinical governance systems to support the delivery of outstanding primary healthcare services?

Perhaps you have gained your knowledge from working in local NHS commissioning, consulting, or from another out-of-hours or primary care services provider, but you are now looking for an opportunity, over time and with support, to develop into the position of Chief Executive?

Headquartered in Bracknell, Operia has been exclusively retained by a primary care provider who currently deliver a wide range of NHS out of hours services who employ over 300 team members and serve a community of around 675,000 people across Bracknell Forest, Slough, Windsor, Ascot, Richmond, and Maidenhead, to search for and headhunt their first COO.

This organisation strives to continually improve the accessibility of primary care services for everyone, bring innovation to the sector and reduce the amount of pressure NHS services face, while not compromising on the care of patients.

In this role, you will deputise for the CEO when required and initially take ownership and accountability for leading cross-departmental teams to ensure compliance with all statutory regulatory bodies. Over time you will begin to develop and maintain client relationships (Care Commissioning Groups, Primary Care Networks, and Acute Trusts) to capture and commercialise up-commissioned and new business opportunities.

It requires someone who can utilise their emotional intelligence to lead and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, in addition to being commercially astute.
