A rare and very exciting opportunity has arisen working for a nationally recognised business with a head office based in Northampton - this role will have responsibility for managing a large payroll and also the payroll team on a day to day basis.
Reporting into senior management - the Payroll Manager will have responsibility for a high volume payroll (monthly mainly) which is processed fully in house. The Payroll Manager will ensure that the payroll is delivered accurately and on-time - the Payroll Manager will produce current tax documentation to include P11Ds, P60s and P45s; performing reconciliation on statutory payments and HMRC submissions; leading on payroll related projects and continuously looking for ways to improve efficiencies and procedures within the payroll function.
The Payroll Manager will also manage the payroll team on a daily basis - including one to ones, regular appraisals & creating development and training plans.
This is an incredibly important role for the business and will require candidates to demonstrate up to date payroll legislation knowledge & have managed teams previously.
