Clinical Governance & Quality Manager - 6-months FTC - £45,753

Parity Group Plc are excited to be partnered with a renowned public sector client of ours, who requires an experienced Clinical Governance & Quality Manager to join their team on an interim basis for a period of 6-months. The location of the role is yet to be negotiated. The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust's sites in line with service needs.

The post holder will develop effective working relationships with healthcare regulators e.g. Care Quality Commission (CQC) and external providers

  • Manage the Trust's compliance process for all external and internal healthcare standards ensuring that the Head of Clinical Quality is fully informed of the status of compliance levels;
  • Manage the review and audit of evidence of compliance with internal and external healthcare standards prior to submission to the relevant authorities, having advised and supported Executive and Operational Leads on the identification of said evidence;
  • To plan and develop programmes that impact across the Trust to enable high-quality standards and improvements across all commissioned services;
  • To attend external and internal meetings and committees as required;
  • To share key information with the Head of Clinical Quality to support the development of Trust and Board reports;
  • Liaise with operational and specialist leads to ensure the development of appropriate robust evidence to achieve compliance with external standards and maintain compliance thereafter;
  • To be responsible to adhere to the scheme of delegation, NHS standards and values and compliance with standing orders (SOs) and standing financial instructions (SFIs).
  • Delegated budget holder
  • To be responsible for the implementation and formulation of policies for the directorate

Essential Criteria:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a manager in a related area/organisation
  • Experience of managing change
  • Experience in implementing effective performance management systems
  • Experience of dealing with complex and sensitive issues
  • Experience of team management and development

Expert knowledge of contractual provider management and assurance
  • Expert knowledge of CQC
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of the challenges and development of NHS ambulance services and the wider NHS
  • Critical appraisal/root cause analysis skills
  • Good knowledge of clinical audit processes and requirements
  • Project management skills
