Helpdesk/Technical Support Specialist
Point of Care Devices
Office hours: 37.5 hours
This is a unique opportunity to join a world leader in the development and manufacture of state-of-the-art, whole blood, point-of-care and critical care analysers.
The role will deliver office based technical support on products ranging from handheld meters for glucose point-of-care testing to critical care whole blood analysers.
The role is ideally suited to an individual with a clinical laboratory or point of care background.
Laboratory networks experience: eg. LIS/EPR/ADT would be ideal.
·Provide first line support to customers and employees across a diverse product range - Biochemistry Analysers, Hospital Based Testing Analysers and Point of Care testing devices
·Support customers in trouble-shooting and identifying faults in equipment
·Perform preventative maintenance for equipment and customer databases
·Dial in to customer networks to assist in connectivity issues
·IT application support - set up reports, new user functionality etc
·Assist with all in-house workshop activities such as pre-installation, pre-implementation and system checks for all products
·Support users in training and certification on equipment via eLearning platforms e.g, BrainShark
·Monthly WeQAs participation for all products
·Maintain Pivotal and TMS databases
·Maintain the technical status of the sales demo analyser pool
·HBTA (Hospital Based Testing Analyser) and BCA (Biochemistry Analyser) stock control for demonstration analysers
·Assist with internal 1st line IT requests e.g. setting up laptops, basic troubleshooting etc
This role could suit someone who comes from a biomed / biochem background having had experience in a laboratory environment - Biomedical Scientist, Lab Technician etc.Equally, a technically able Engineer / Technician within in-vitro diagnostics and/or point of care industry.
