Here at Altran, we are looking for an experienced Lead Systems Integration Engineer to join our teams helping to deliver the future of Britain's railways.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of research and development programmes across signalling and railway engineering, contributing your expertise to the design and specification of new system and sub-systems, and overseeing the planning and execution of progressive integration, verification and validation activities from factory acceptance through to trials in a live operational environment.

Your role

•Act as the Systems Integration Authority, including the development of Integration, Verification & Validation specifications and plans.

•Dovetail verification strategies into those of our clients and act as primary integration point of contact, building long-term relationships at senior level.

•Lead, manage and control all engineering-related activities in the execution of our V&V and Integration strategies from development, to trial operations and ultimately live operational service on the UK rail network.

•Work with and coordinate our own and our clients' 3rd party suppliers, taking a lead role in bringing together systems of systems from concept into live operational service.

•Support our sales team in the capture phase by scoping and estimating integration activities required for large and complex projects in the rail domain.

Your profile

•University or College Degree in an engineering discipline.

•Extensive experience in railway projects and specific experience in Systems Integration of Railway Systems.

•Knowledge of ERTMS/ETCS highly preferred.

•Experience of working within BS EN50126, 50128 and 50129.

•Experience of leading, driving and motivating teams to deliver the technical aspects of large and complex projects.

•Customer facing with the ability to form long-term relationships with clients and suppliers at senior level.

•Great communication skills experience and proven in key stakeholder management.

•Team player, autonomous and solution-oriented.

This position will be home based and linked to our Bath office. We will consider both permanent and contract applications for this role.
