I am assisting a Law firm client of mine in their search for a new a Finance Business Partner.
The role will be a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract and will be pivotal in managing the financial aspects of its work streams. They will primarily be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and providing in-depth reporting and analysis on KPIs by identifying trends, strengths and weaknesses and working with legal teams to ensure data is used effectively and appropriately but other role requirements will include: -
- Production of MI packs
- Management of an Assistant Accountant
- Quarterly and annual budget forecasts
- Cash flow forecasting
- Some VAT returns & tax computations
- Supporting annual stat account preparation
- Ad hoc duties as required
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for the relevant legal teams and as such the ability to communicate effectively to non-finance members is essential, as is building strong relations with our legal counterparts. You will need to be either fully CIMA/ACCA qualified or have a number of years' experience within a similar position within the sector aswell as having advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.
