MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Leasehold Officer on a permanent basis in Essex.

Working with a fantastic public sector organisation, you will be responsible for the administration of leaseholder service charges, major works, shared ownership properties, right to buy applications and other leasehold services income.

Take ownership for the performance of leasehold property management, ensuring correct apportioning and accounting of expenditure
Prepare annual estimated and actual service charge accounts
Issue Section 20 notices in accordance with legislation
Monitor receipt of income and ensure appropriate action taken to pursue outstanding debts
Undertake recovery action in accordance with defined policy and ensure all service charges and shared ownership accounts are regularly monitored and appropriate actions are taken
Undertake Section 20 consultation in line with procedure and timescales, issuing notices and supporting information
Deal with applications requiring permission under the lease, raising administration charges where the lease allows
Respond and process Right to Buy applications, conducting necessary fraud checks
Refer cases to legal services for recovery action

Ideal Candidate:
Working knowledge of how to read and manage Lease's
Knowledge of Orchard Housing Management system
Good knowledge of current Housing and Leasehold legislation and how to apply this into everyday scenarios
Confident knowledge of RTA, RTB, shared ownership, leasehold leases, service charges and re-sales, section 20
