Learning Manager (grant making charity)
Location: will need to be in london 2 days a week with some travel to nationally
Salary £40-£50k per annum
Civitas charity are proud to be working with a fantastic independent grant making charity focused on the legal sector. The charity focuses on the role of legal education to empower individuals and organisation's to understand and use the law as a tool for change. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning Manager to join the team as it aims to deliver the five-year strategy. The Learning Manager is an exciting new role, which reflects a conscious move to prioritise learning over accountability in the foundation's relationship with grantees as part of a five-year strategy launched in January 2020. There will be a focus internally to develop the systems for more systematic learning from grants and across the team, as well as how the foundation better support's grantee organisations to learn from their work and from each other.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience of working with non-profits in research and evaluating their work. You will be a natural communicator who has demonstrable experience of promoting a learning culture within organisation's. You will be technical competent using statistical data, both quantitative and qualitative, to help inform decisions. Add to the technical knowledge and research skills, you will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well within diverse technical teams which include policy and grant managers. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment and interest in social justice and previous grant making experience will be an advantage however not essential.
*Part time/flexible working requirements will be considered. The successful post holder will need to be able to travel to London at least 2 days a week with some national travel required.
