Leading IT Services organisation have an opportunity for a Wintel Technical Consultant technical leadership for a range of clients, identify new and/or alternative technical solutions and assessing, solutioning and costing responses to customer requests. You will have end-to-end process of requirements capture, solution design, implementation and service transition, as your role is fundamental to the delivery of an effective solution, meeting business requirements and adhering to technical best practice. Whether running small engagements, acting as the lead technical authority on large engagements, or being a team member on an engagement, the Technical Consultant ensures high quality service and high client satisfaction. You will focus on delivery of assignments ensuring on or ahead of time delivery, delivery of agreed outcomes and completion of all paperwork including customer sign-off forms. Responsibilities: Agree scope of deliverables with client or allocated project manager prior to commencing assignment Provide technical support escalation to first and second line teams Deliver assignments on time or ahead of agreed schedule, ensuring 100% client satisfaction When not on a specific assignment be available to support other requirements - internal projects, pre -sales, bids, training etc. For assigned area, contributes to all consulting engagement activities leading to production of the final deliverable. Understands client requirements and assists in selling add-on business. Works closely with clients to create and define consulting engagements and ensure that the client´s overall business objectives and needs are translated into well-defined and justified engagements. This includes preparing work plans and contributing to proposals that describe the process used to solve the client´s problem and includes deliverables, deadlines, and estimates of the costs and resources required. Continually develop consulting skills, business knowledge and knowledge of client issues based on accumulated experience. Applies knowledge gained from each consulting project experience to market and execute future consulting engagements more effectively. Continually develops technical knowledge in agreed domain(s). Play a role in practice development by assisting in the management of consulting resources in projects. Interact with other departments as appropriate to address specific client needs in a timely and efficient manner. Directs clients to the best services and/or resources for their needs. Exercise judgment in how best to deal with client requests, setting client expectations and in making decisions consistent with relevant technical policies and practices. This may require referral to senior team members for decisions on resources, contracts, and other business issues for which the Consultant is representing. Evaluate the consulting practice to assess its effectiveness in terms of client and user satisfaction. Experience required: · You will have experience in a hands-on technical role providing end to end system delivery of IT solutions.
