A new opportunity has arose to join a very successful manufacturing company based in Runcorn, due to the growth of the department our client is looking for a Pricing Analyst who has ideally come from a manufacturing background.

This is a full time, permanent role predominately the role will be home based however must be available to attend the site as and when required, excellent opportunity in which there is clear career progression.

The Commercial Pricing Analyst has primary responsibility to work with both the commercial operations team and the manufacturing sites to both maintain accurate pricing and where appropriate suggest optimal pricing to our customers. In addition, the role will provide pricing analytics to ensure we and our customers are compliant with our contracts, provide oversight to our order intake process and assess the achievement of pricing strategies. This will include conducting audits of our invoicing, resolving price discrepancies, assessing discount requests from their commercial partners.

This position requires significant data analysis - excellent analysis & organising skills, advanced knowledge of Excel, pivot table functionality within Excel is required. Process improvement and process development skills will also be required to be successful in this role.

This is a new role that has the potential to expand upon the initial expectations and is a great opportunity for someone to gain experience in a large corporate setting, financial analytics, and database management that will enable this person to advance into a more senior role in the company.


Responsible for making recommendations through the evaluation of price, volume, mix and cost along with competitive positioning to facilitate management decisions

Monthly pricing metrics including Price Attainment and Win Rate Analysis

Set-up and maintain customer pricing consistent with our contracts

Analyse and audit rebates deductions from distributors

Load pricing and assure all data integrity in ERP system

Troubleshoot pricing problems by running and analysing price history

Perform audits of pricing in comparison to both volume purchased and forecasted trends

Assist in the annual price roll

Special projects as required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

ACCA/CIMA finalist or Mathematics Degree

Experience with Access

Pricing experience is highly preferred

Experience of financial analysis, with the confidence to present to non-financial stakeholders enabling optimal decision making

ERP data management (SAP experience preferred) not essential

Ability to interpret large amounts of data

Accuracy and consistency in reporting data for business needs

Highly organised and detail oriented

Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of customer service

Ability to manage multiple and tight deadlines
