Regional Improvement Collaborative

Secondment Opportunity (Approval is required from your Line Manager and Local Authority before applying)

An exciting one-year secondment opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced GTCS registered staff member to assist the Forth Valley and West Lothian Regional Improvement Collaborative. This secondment is open to all local authorities; however, prior approval must be sought from your local authority and line manager before applying.

Regional Improvement Collaborative Development Officer (QIM pay point - £69,669)

One Year Secondment - 52 weeks per year post

The Forth Valley and West Lothian RIC are offering an exciting opportunity to support the four Councils in improving educational outcomes in line with local, national and regional priorities across the RIC. A job outline is attached covering the job scope and key aspects of the posts.

Applicants must hold an appropriate teaching qualification at degree level and be GTCS Registered. The post holder should display excellent leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and develop employees and partners to promote a positive performance culture, effective collaboration and joint working. The applicant should demonstrate experience of undertaking the strategic development, implementation, operational management and effective delivery of self-evaluation, service planning and quality improvement.

This post provides a secondment opportunity on a full-time basis for a period of 12 months initially. If successful, you will continue to be employed by your existing employer.

The duration of the secondment will be subject to review.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.
