We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join the team in our Laboratory in Birmingham. This role is a mixture of day to day management and mid term strategic projects. You will provide in depth Technical support to the Supply Chain with purpose to maintain and improve Supply Chain performance and efficiencies, particularly coordination of technical information between departments.

You will be leading daily quality controls for manufacturing, resolving productions issues, whilst liaising with R&D with regard to new developments. You will be working with Product Managers when significant changes are planned, such as replacement of raw materials, specification changes etc. You will also be managing two Laboratory Chemists, and act as Deputy for our Laboratory Manager.

In order to be successful in applying for this role, you should be familiar with HS&E policies, and be able to manage your time effectively. We are looking for some who is assertive, optimistic to change, resilient, and can thrive in a pressurised work environment. You must have a Chemistry degree, with significant experience in a technical role of similar nature. You must have demonstrable experience in analysing macro-level information in order to assess opportunities and risks.
