Our history

We are recently established, sponsored and started by people who love Tech, and understand the benefits it adds to other organisations! We service a number of international private businesses within shipping, real estate, energy, banking and investments and our team are based across New York and London.

We are looking to grow to a total headcount of 25 - 30 people and we're seeking to find new talent to join us in our Tech journey.

The role of Head of Technology

The Head of Technology will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Reporting to CIO this candidate must work with the leadership team to define and execute technology strategy, ensuring future focus and alignment with the strategic outcomes of the client businesses in particular its digital and technology transformation ambition; as well as grow and lead a team of deep technologists.


  • Ensure the technology operating model aligns with the strategic vision and adapts to changing external and internal factors
  • Owns the technology roadmap for the group. Is responsible for the mapping and updates of dependencies and integrations between different technologies within the group
  • Puts in place the right people, processes, technology to deliver strategic and operational goals
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the technology technical team
  • Develop and retain digital and technology workforce with deep technical expertise
  • Provide ongoing platform & supplier management support
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of technology systems
  • Identify, own and manage high-level risks attached to the strategy
  • Leads and conducts research to improve the technological landscape of the client companies
  • Evaluates new technology and makes recommendations on technological solutions based on factors such as cost/benefit, risk, ease of adoption, etc.
  • Consistently evaluates technical efficiency and drives changes as necessary

  • Proven track record of leading a team that is cohesive and focuses on providing the highest standards delivery
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the technology strategy that inspires and motivates staff and clients
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence and be a role model to help achieve this
  • Strong communication skills; including writing and verbal communication with customer

Technology experience

Experience in the following as a minimum:
  • Deep understanding of on-premise infrastructure solutions and best practices.
  • Virtualisation & Replication (VMware / SAN / NAS / Veeam / Zerto)
  • Deep understanding of cloud services, architecture & design.
  • Azure / M365 / SharePoint / Intune / SolarWinds / Mimecast
  • Telephony (PBX / Mobile / VOIP / MDM / AV)
  • Networking & Security (Switches / WAPS / Firewalls)


  • 10 years+ relevant service management experience
  • BSc in Information Technology or equivalent
  • TOGAF (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in the shipping industry, proxy industries such as trading, supply chain, oil and gas, or with automation systems would be an advantage
  • Experience in enterprise architecture management, application management, M365 platform and solutions architecture, infrastructure and operations support management
