Principal Software Engineer (NodeJS) - Global E-Commerce/SaaS - London

Globally renowned E-Commerce technology company based in London is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join their growing team to shape up their newly formed Platform Capability Division. They serve milllions of customers a year - driven by cutting-edge technology to solve the most challenging problems on a daily basis. This role pays a competitive salary of £90,000 - £100,000 per annum + 15% bonus.

Working in a strong Agile environment, you will be an experienced Senior/Principal Engineer who's an advocate of delivering and fostering best practice. You will bridge the gap between rapid delivery and future scalability. Working with other Divison Leads, Product, and Senior Stakeholders, you will be responsible for defining technical principles - as well as being hands-on, define patterns and practices to build a world-class team, delivering to the highest standards. Ideally, you'll have experience across multiple domains and the challenges the comes with this; bringing with you lessons learned from previous mistakes.

As Principal Software Engineer, you'll have a good experience and understanding of:

  • NodeJS
  • React/Redux
  • Docker/Kubernetes/CI/CD
  • AWS (S3/ Serverless)
  • Microservices/Serverless Architecture
  • Agile/Scrum
  • Mentorship/Leadership/Scaling Teams

Location: Central London (once lockdown is eased) - flexible working

Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 (DOE) + 15% bonus

Interview Process: 1. Telephone (30 mins); 2. Technical (45 mins); 3. Technical Q&A and Culture (90 mins)
