A leading construction business based on the West side of Southampton has entrusted the Network Professional team to secure them a talented and ambitious Financial Controller who is able take their finance function to the next level. This market leading construction firm are growing year on year and have a passion for creating head turning developments that occupy the top end of the market. The small finance team are adapting rapidly to this sustained upturn but there is now the need to appoint a Financial Controller who can play a key role in ensuring the financial reporting process is fit for purpose and also help enhance the level of insight in the management information pack. The business would like to hear from technically strong and commercially minded individuals who can develop, mentor and up skill more junior finance staff and also work with the directors to help drive the business forward in a controlled and sustainable way. This will mainly be achieved by capturing the key business drivers that will propel the company forward and track these KPI's in a newly designed management information pack. The successful post holder will be a first-rate communicator and be comfortable to engage with all stakeholders across the business from meetings with site managers through to presenting key financial information to the board.

Your responsibilities
Typical duties and responsibilities will include:
-Monthly Management reporting, including tracking of all Key performance indicators.
-Working with budget holders to enhance their fiscal understanding and drive efficiency.
-Reduce the reporting times and enhance the month end reporting process.
-Manage the transactional and wider accounting team.
-Manage all external financial relationships and be the main point of contact for auditors.

What you'll need to apply
Then business would like to hear from qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who are interested in making a long-term career move with a growing business. Additionally, finance professionals who have a passion for business partnering and helping operational managers become more financially aware will be at a distinct advantage. Moreover, superb Excel skills are also a prerequisite as analysis will largely be undertaken via Excel thus a proven track record of creating financial models that help underpin financial decisions will be advantageous.
