My client is a multi billion global investment management company focused on infrastructure. It has one of the longest and best track records in the asset class and products across equity and debt. As the business is growing significantly, the firm is looking to make its first product specialist hire in Europe. This is a senior hire which who will have a significant impact on our client's next phase of growth.

The function is highly regarded and considered integral by portfolio managers and fundraisers. Expectations around product knowledge are high - product specialists at the firm are highly technical and able to synthesize concepts. They act as translators, taking information from the investment team and putting it in marketing language as well as bringing market feedback from investors to portfolio managers.

The product specialists act as a proxy for the investment team during meetings and pitches and will be expected to go on roadshows alongside sales people and conduct update meetings with investors.

Product specialist are heavily involved in product and solutions development initiatives, bringing market feedback to investment teams as well as designing and brining products to launch. They are also responsible for supporting the structuring of managed accounts and co-investments.

Another key product specialist responsibility is owning marketing / client material content. It will be up to them to take initiatives based on investor feedback and market trends to produce thought leadership.

The firm is looking for senior individuals who are currently or have been in an infrastructure investment role.
