About the Role

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a range of projects and dealing with sub-contractors as well as third parties. As well as being part of a wider project team, the Senior Project Manager will manage people directly and indirectly. The role will be home based initially with travel to our office base in Manchester as required and travelling on a national basis as required nationally to project sites. Hours will be 40 per week and a car allowance will be provided. This role will be within our Mechanical Projects team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide engineering expertise to all projects
  • To implement SPIE engineering processes
  • Deliver against project deadlines and plan work in a timely manner
  • To liaise with the client and maintain good working relationships
  • To provide leadership and technical assistance in house and to subcontract labour

Key Skills

  • Experience gained in pharmaceutical sector (essential)
  • Experience in managing turnkey projects including construction, HVAC, mechanical and electrical works
  • Experience in cleanroom- DQ, IQ, OQ
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, microelectronics and healthcare markets is essential- particularly in the construction of laboratories and cleanrooms
  • Must have technical knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical services
  • A proven track record of delivery within the M&E installation sector up to £5m
  • Have a degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical
  • Must have previous management and supervisory experience
