Are you an enthusiastic and ambitious Accounting professional with experience in Service Charge Accounting? Reed are looking exclusively for a Client Accountant to join a leading business in the Property Management sector. Our client is offering a competitive base salary of £22,000 - £26,000 per annum dependant on experience with fantastic added benefits!

The role of Client Accountant is to be responsible for the delivery of the service charge accounting duties on behalf of the business's clients.

The Services primarily include preparation and finalisation of service charge and related company accounts for delivery to your clients. Responsible for processing and delivering accounts and other financial related matters and follow the guidelines and procedures set out by the company and ensuring compliance is relevant to industry legislation and best practice.

You will be tasked with the below duties but not limited to with the role evolving over time:

• Ensuring data/processing integrity always

• Ensuring your performance and delivery follows compliance with all relevant industry legislation and best practice

• Managing your workflow and delivery; ensuring adherence with business (internal & external) Service Level Agreements

• Ensuring you follow the agreed procedures, and fully documenting working papers

• Contributing to instilling a culture of the highest professional standards and conduct

• Ensuring data/processing integrity always

• The Services to be provided for clients include (although may vary from time to time):

• Service charge Accounts including RMC/RTM statutory accounts, and related HMRC documentation/filing - preparation, coordination, and finalisation of Accounts, including:

• Liaison and coordination with Internal team members

• Liaison and coordination with External parties (including auditors, directors, property owners)

• Other accounting services (including but not limited to financial integration of new sites; VAT reporting; budgets; adhoc reporting; FTT preparation, and/or attendance).

• Query resolution - liaison with external parties (including property owners/clients) to resolve Accounts related queries


• Intermediate Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Word skills.

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal

• Exceptional IT skills due to using many different computer software packages

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Efficient with an inquisitive nature


• Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 per annum.

• Full time permanent position.

• Core hours 09.00 - 17.15.

• 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
