Utilise delegated personal lending mandate to underwrite larger, more complex Property Development and Commercial Property Backed Lending transactions, further advances and Account Reviews in line with the Banks Lending Policy, TCF and responsible lending principles, whilst maintaining an acceptable risk position.
Review suitability of loan applications based upon a detailed project appraisal and affordability assessment.
Communicate with Relationship Managers, customers, intermediaries and related 3rd parties to gather information to make appropriate lending decisions.
Undertake client meetings and/or site visits as deemed appropriate to support the decisioning and due diligence processes.
Ensure that all applications are structured to manage the risk position, with robust rationale for the lending decision, complete with appropriate lending conditions.
Prepare and refer cases outside personal lending mandate to appropriate mandate holders including Credit Committee and Board, where required.
Proactively manage the satisfactory discharge of any conditions stipulated within offers of lending.
Proactively manage post-underwriting case progression and completion with 3rd parties, including drawdown of funds with appropriate checking.
Ownership of post completion (after 1st drawdown) process and case management (further drawdowns, covenant monitoring, development monitoring reports and Account Reviews).
Review suitability of security, property valuations, development appraisal/QS and other specialist reports liaising with valuation, QS and legal panel firms, as appropriate.
