The Data Services team play a pivotal role in the on-going operation of Edinburgh Airport. The team develop and maintain a centralised data warehouse enabling fast and accurate decision-making, reporting and analysis across the entire aerodrome. Data Services help coordinate the wider analyst community to ensure our datasets drives business efficiency and keep pace with evolving analytical trends. We bring knowledge and experience in the data space.

Data Engineers manage the entire life-cycle of data from source to presentation and engage directly with business users to shape requirements and deliverables. In this role, you will work on integrating source data feeds into a SQL Data Warehouse using T-SQL ETL methods, integrate with existing sources and publish datasets as required to meet business demand. Data dictionaries and documentation are also updated and maintained within this role. Data quality and high availability is core to what we do. A keen attention to detail is vital to deliver robust and reliable integrations in a fast-paced, results oriented business. Team members are empowered to pro-actively seek out value-add initiatives, through data technologies, for the business.

Person Specification:

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of the following:
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • ETL methodologies and practices
  • T-SQL


Knowledge of the following is beneficial:
  • MS Azure toolsets, inc API and Logic Apps
  • Tableau or similar presentation tools
  • MS Powershell
  • Data manipulation languages (e.g. Python or R)


Salary - Between £30,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
