Due to recent and future growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual wishing to

join a busy and expanding Software development team in Hertford for a fashion label importer and wholesaler working with some of the world's leading fashion brands such as US Polo, Lyle & Scott, Jack Wills, Juicy Couture, Ben Sherman, Franklin Marshall, etc. They're looking for a .NET Developer to build EDI / API integrations for supply chain information software systems (SAP) for their fashion retailers to purchase, track and manage stock orders using the VB.NET framework and happy to take onboard a recent graduate with a Computer Science degree and a keen interest to develop their career as a Developer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initially, you will monitor and shadow the development of B2B EDI integrations through use of and supporting APIs with the third party agencies they work with; once you've gained some knowledge and experience then you can gradually take on more of the development work.
  • SAP B1 SDK
  • Maintain and develop reports / dashboards and assist in the automation of business

  • Project development - including documentation throughout
  • Provide data and systems support to internal users
  • Data integrity, validation and cleansing

Other Skills/Abilities:
  • Write/modify complex VBA scripts containing embedded and parameterised SQL queries
  • Experience of writing complex SQL reports
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One or other ERP system
  • Excellent Excel Skills, including thorough knowledge of Data Connection, Macros, VLookup

and Pivot Tables and the ability to teach others in the use of same
  • Good experience of SQL, including stored procedures, functions and triggers
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with non-

technical people in plain language

The Individual:
  • The role requires a self-motivated team player with a flexible approach
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a similar role, but we will consider recent Computer Science Graudates
  • Excellent personal management skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external business partners across UK,

Europe and the Rest of the World
  • Innovative thinker with good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Quick Learner
  • Computer Science or Software Engineering University degree.

The successful applicant must have a background in programming, preferably in VB.NET, an extensive knowledge of relational databases and SQL. This role will also include some travel between offices as required across the UK.
