We are currently recruiting for a Site Responsible Electrical Engineer to join our Central Engineering team at our clients Manufacturing Facility at Greatham site.
You will be responsible for continuously developing the site electrical asset strategy and competency programme for electrical engineering associates and contractors.
You will directly manage a central team responsible for HV & LV infrastructure maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;
Managing the site's HV & LV maintenance and operations strategy to ensure equipment is safe and reliable. Ensuring protective earthing systems are tested and compliant (Power, lightning and static) Identification and management of an electrical obsolescence programme via a 10 Year Asset Life Plan Leading electrical continuous improvement activities for both central and plant assets Provide electrical technical support and guidance to the area I/E Engineers and Technicians, leading unusual or complex fault diagnosis. Implementing a site wide plan to ensure competence for all electrical engineering personnel utilised on the site. Carry out coaching and mentoring activities as appropriate. Lead FEED studies and act as a project Electrical Engineer on electrical CAPEX projects where appropriate and liaise with the Central Projects Team setting the required site standards for larger projects. Proactively work with plant electrical engineering teams to develop their preventive maintenance techniques to improve equipment reliability. The successful candidate will have significant electrical engineering experience gained in the chemicals manufacturing, or similar, business sector and have a good working knowledge of the Electricity @ Work Regulations and relevant British Standards.
The role requires both HV and LV experience up to and including 11 kV networks. Chartered Electrical Engineer status is preferred although applicants who are currently Incorporated and able to demonstrate they are actively working towards Chartered status will be considered.
