This leading financial services company has a phenomenal opportunity for an accomplished Data Science Manager to join at the helm of a growing team and gain great strategic experience, whilst also being able to develop their technical abilities, design and develop predictive models and ML algorithms, and ultimately see the business impact of the work they're doing. Having been established over 100 years ago, this company is sitting on a huge amount of data and is now looking for an additional member to tap into this data, segment its consumer base and optimise pricing and marketing ROI.

The Data Science Manager Role

Coming in as a Data Science Manager, you will have a stellar opportunity to develop your technical skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing three data scientists initially, with the opportunity to grow the team to six in the coming months
  • Project ownership on pricing and marketing fields
  • Data modelling, designing and developing predictive models
  • Presenting actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders to drive decision making
  • Conducting experiments to test hypotheses and optimise marketing spend


The Successful Data Science Manager

If you are currently working as a Lead or Senior Data Scientist with some mentorship experience and you're ready for the next step up in your career, this could be a fantastic fit in a team which is set to double in the coming months.

Desired Skills and Background of the Data Science Manager:
  • Solid technical experience in Python / R
  • Experience working with consumer / marketing / pricing data
  • Good grounding of statistical techniques and modelling
  • MSc+ in STEM subject


If successful, you will be offered a competitive salary paying between £60,000 and £75,000 depending on experience, alongside excellent company benefits.
