Fibre Fault Finding Service Engineer FTTH FTTP
Looking for an experienced Field Engineer who has worked on BT / Virgin's Fibre network on the FTTH or FTTP side.
This role is to be a Service Engineer, dealing mainly with issues when a new customer is hooked up to the service and the connection is not working.
Faults you would deal with will be in the cable from the cabinet to the home / block, or within the block wiring (not within the customers residence).
You need to be able to demonstrate fibre splicing skills, be able to run a new cable, and have fault finding / testing skills on splitters in MDU (blocks of flats).
Initial work is around Croydon, SE and S London with future install works across the London M25.
Applicants must have a full drivers licence and be able to pass a DBS check.
Any safety training tickets would be useful: IPAF, Street Works - NRSWA, working at heights etc.
This is a full time permanent PAYE job with company van, fuel, uniform, tools, pension, paid holiday etc.
Basic around £25-£28K, could push to £30K for someone who ticks all the boxes and requires little to no training
