NHS TAYSIDE PUBLIC PROTECTION TEAM ADULT PROTECTION ADVISORS â€" BAND 7 SALARY SCALE Â£39,300 â€" Â£46,006 PER ANNUM An opportunity has become available to join the NHS Tayside Adult Protection Team as an Adult Protection Advisor. There are 2 new posts working as part of the NHS Tayside Adult Protection Team (TAPT) to promote a high quality, safe and effective service to protect adults who are vulnerable and at risk of harm. Our posts will cover community and hospital settings across Tayside with the main Adult Protection Office based in Perth and access bases linked to Angus and Dundee. For our Adult Protection team, we are looking to recruit nurses/AHPs who can demonstrate evidence of personal and professional development. You will be educated to degree level with a Certificate in Adult Protection Studies (or be willing to undertake this) and be committed to protecting vulnerable people. You will be self-motivated, able to prioritise your workload and have track record in effective working with partner agencies. Key to the role is providing support and supervision to NHS staff in meeting their responsibilities in the protection of vulnerable adults in line with current policy and practice guidelines. In addition, you will provide specialist advice on complex issues to all disciplines within NHS Tayside whilst working with the Adult Protection Team in delivering the core functions of the service which include, providing expert advice, training, and supervision and partaking in Initial Referral Discussions. Building our Adult Protection Team is the first step in moving towards a Tayside Public Protection Team alongside the Child Protection Team. Please contact us to find out more.
