Piers Meadows Recruitment are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapis to work both remotely and with some work from a base in Bedfordshire.
Our client is looking into planning provision to meet winter pressures.
We are looking for a Band 6 Paediatric OT for approximately 6 months.
The work would mainly involve assessment of children with functional difficulties e.g. eating, dressing, recording information in school with coordination difficulties. Rather than children requiring seating or equipment for those with a physical disability. They would therefore have to have experience of using standard and non-standardised assessments used with this group of children.
Due to Covid we are mainly using virtual platforms for assessment and face to face only where essential.
Our client operate from a Child Development Centre, and a Children and Young People's Centre, but there will also be a need to see and provide advice to children in their educational settings. This is a Band 6 post.
- NHS Paediatric experience at Band 6 level, or strong equivalent of overseas experience.
- Essential qualifications/skills:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registered
- Available to start asap /next few weeks
Excellent skills in communication, time management, organisation and a flexible and proactive approach to all aspects of this post are essential.
This is a full-time role with a competitive pay rate, but we will also consider part-time candidates.
