A welcoming Primary School in Kirklees are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with challenging behaviour. This two form entry school has a real team spirit and a supportive senior leadership team.

Responsibilities
Clarify and explain instructions to the pupil
Ensure the pupil is able to use the equipment and materials provided
Motivate and encourage the pupil(s) by providing individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks
Assist in weaker areas, e.g. speech and language, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/presentation etc
Use praise, commentary and assistance to encourage the pupil to concentrate and stay on task
Implement agreed behaviour management strategies consistently and effectively
Provide appropriate resources to support the pupil

Requirements
Qualified Teaching Assistant status (Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, SEN Teaching Assistant)
Previous experience working with Primary School pupils
Team Teach Training (desired)
