The Associates are looking for a Lead Data Architect to undertake a contract role in South London. The position covers a great deal of ground and incorporates RDBMS as well as some big Data elements as well as Data Science (smaller part and not initially). The company is in Financial Services and we need someone who has been in industry long enough to have covered all these aspects ideally in an enterprise scale environment.

It would be ideal but not mandatory that your RDBMS is from the IBM product set but is not mandatory. You will take up the role and lead a group of Data Architects as well as work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders. You will also face off to consultancies and 3rd party suppliers.

Your role as the Lead Data Architect will be split between the in flight projects, team management and the input into building the strategy for how data is managed currently. As aspect of the role

will be the improvement in the way call centre data is handled (Azure products) and how the business can positively use MI for better decision making. The business currently has a serverless AWS ecommerce stack with data flows coming from more than one country.

I am looking for a strong character but not a bulldozer in this role and you must be able to demonstrate that you have the communication expertise to communicate what the business benefit is to the technology advancements.

The work will be remote for the rest of 2020 and moving into 2021 it will most likely break down into 2 or 3 days a week in the office with the rest from home.

The Lead Data Architect position could be a 1 year Fixed term contract at about 100k on the base (plus car, Pension, Healthcare, Discretionary bonus and additional bens) or a 6 month contract followed by FTC for an additional 6 months. The day rate contract would be about £600 -

£650 per day.
