We have an exciting opportunity to work for the fastest growing multichannel toy retailers in the UK. Our client has over 170 UK stores stretched across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the islands and they are still growing!
They have an opening in their Planning and Allocation Department for an Assistant Merchandiser / Planner, reporting into their Channel Planning Manager. The purpose of the role is to support the Planning and Allocation Team on trading the current range in order to maximise sales across all trading channels. You will be responsible for reviewing sales and stock forecasts at store / channel level and building capability within the planning and allocation team by ensuring individual training and development needs are met.
You will be working with the logistics planning team ensuring effective planning of inbound/outbound stock flow to create a dynamic and ever-changing mix of product to create the best customer experience. Also working very closely with other teams including Buying, Marketing and Retail Operations to ensure stores are supported in achieving sales targets and to address issues and opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years merchandising experience and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Someone who has worked within the Retail or FMCG sector has a great work ethic, inquisitive, strong analytical and mathematical skills and is commercially aware.
Our client is easily commutable from High Wycombe, Amersham, Beaconsfield and accessible from the M40.
Salary £26K - £30K and Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00 - 5.00pm / 8.30am - 5.30pm
