ROLE: NPD Executive - Haircare

Key Responsibilities
  • Focus on developing & building the Beauty Bay hair care product portfolio under the supervision of the NPD Manager
  • Requires bluesky innovative product conceptualising - developing new product proposals
  • Build and maintain strong supplier working relationships
  • Working cross functionally and coordinate with key teams to deliver on project objectives
  • CPA management to meet launch deadlines
  • Clear product briefing to internal brand/creative teams and external suppliers
  • Build and track validation /testing submissions with internal/external panels
  • Present product concepts/formulation proposals to senior management team
  • Create and present competitor benchmarking/pricing reports to line manager
  • Scout new formulation/technologies and trend innovations
  • Monitor sampling requirements for NPD/Brand teams


Key Attributes
  • Good understanding on product costings to support NPD/Procurement teams.
  • Good understanding of technical and regulatory requirements within beauty
  • In depth knowledge of formulations and active ingredients
  • Must have excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible team player
  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment
  • A self-starter with huge passion for the beauty industry
  • Skills using Microsoft programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in product development/buying (if have solid knowledge of formulas within products)
