Graphics Algorithm Engineer (Contract) - GPU / Shaders / GLSL / Vulkan / OpenGL / OpenCL / DirectX11/12 / HLSL

For our leading IT technology company we are searching for a contractor specialized in Graphics Algorithm Development. Our client is ideally looking for someone with a background in real-time rendering algorithms on GPU, or other advanced use of graphics and rendering algorithms to join a team working at the forefront of 3D graphics algorithm development.

Job type: Contract (within IR35) Client pays employer tax

Location: Cambridge

Duration: 6 Months (long-term extensions possible)

Start date: ASAP

Key skills required for the Graphics Algorithm Engineer:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar field.
  • Several years of experience in implementing real-time rendering algorithms, ray tracing or global illumination algorithms
  • Strong experience in GPU shader, GLSL or HLSL
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following graphics API: Vulkan, OpenGL, Metal, DirectX11 or 12 and/or OpenCL.
  • Excellent programming skills using C or C++
