Description

Are you able to advise clients on their procurement options, helping them choose the best partners and solutions for their situation? Does the idea of working for different clients on complex business-critical IT projects excite you? If yes, then read on!

Here's what you will do

DMW work with our clients to advise and implement optimal sourcing and procurement strategies to solve their most complex problems. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will shape and execute sourcing approaches to allow our clients to select the most appropriate partners in the technology space.

Location

The role can be based in any of our 3 UK offices; the ability to travel to client locations is required.

Based in the vibrant and modern Labs House, we are a stone's throw away from Holborn station. Boasting coffee lounges, co-working spaces, ping pong/table tennis tables, free on-site gym and weekly yoga classes all the way through to fortnightly free breakfasts.

Hours

This is a permanent role within our Delivery Pillar. We consider flexible ways of working that allow the best outcomes for our people and clients, and are open to part time working. Working closely with our clients is key to successful outcomes, and so occasional travel is a requirement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide options and make recommendations on strategies and approaches to achieve best possible sourcing outcomes.

  • Conduct supplier negotiations
  • Run performance evaluation/supplier improvement initiatives post contract award.
  • Contribute to the development of DMW's procurement collateral and capability
  • Support client proposals and pitches with procurement subject matter expertise

Requirements
  • Experience of running multiple sourcing exercises, either in-house/end user or on a consulting basis across one or more of:
  • Understanding of outcome measurement as part of a contract (SLAs, KPIs)
  • Experience across multiple phases of the sourcing lifecycle (market research, RFI, RFP, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and finalisation, vendor management). Ability to facilitate creation of robust requirements catalogues to underpin vendor evaluation is key.
  • Persuasive communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong commercial skills and experience
  • IT product vendors and suppliers market knowledge.
  • End User Computing (Service Desk, Collaboration technologies)
  • ITIL based service delivery
  • Application Delivery (SaaS, bespoke build, ERP)
  • Infrastructure (Cloud, Data centres, networks) including an understanding of non-functional requirements and IT security
  • Outsourcing/offshoring

  • ITIL based service delivery
  • Application Delivery (SaaS, bespoke build, ERP)
  • Infrastructure (Cloud, Data centres, networks) including an understanding of non-functional requirements and IT security
