The Senior Director of IT Operations is responsible for the analysis, design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of all facets of the Ocean Infinity Information Technology department. The Senior Director of IT Operations plans, coordinates, and directs all daily operational activities of these departments (working with the leaders of Cyber Security Intelligence and Satellite Communication Operations) and provides direction and solutions that enhance mission-critical operations of the IT department, reporting to Chief Information Officer.
The Senior Director of IT Operations will also act as senior leader over Data Solutions aligning a concise Analytic data delivery supporting business operations.
The Senior Director of IT Operations will work closely with the CTO Team and other key business decision-makers in identifying and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. This position provides strategy, leadership and day-to-day management of IT infrastructure, software, hardware, networks, data solutions and cloud services. The Senior Director of IT Operations has responsibility of identifying and designing current through future technical solutions, as well as implementation and day to day leadership of 24x7 IT Operations supporting Ocean Infinity Armada Control Center's.
This leader should demonstrate exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal form. This leader should be collaborative and how to best drive effective collaboration on the delivery and handling of tasks across the organization, and partnerships with the business. Should be able to provide clear, concise, convincing, and unambiguous report outs to, and on behalf of, the CIO (and supporting other Ocean Infinity Senior leadership).
Objectives & Responsibilities:
Create and implement IT policies and procedures that enable strong security and risk-management capabilities.
Oversee the architecture and implementation of ongoing support of the network, server, communications infrastructure and cloud services in order to ensure high performance of the IT Ops department.
In charge of business continuity and disaster recovery within the department as well as the recommendation and implementation of new investments within the technology infrastructure.
Responsible for oversight of the entire network and system infrastructure ensuring proper configuration, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of security firewalls, sites/software, servers, data and file encryption, and internet connections.
Acts as mentor to key IT Ops personnel, promoting professional growth.
The Senior Director of IT Operations will also play a strategic role in the IT department where they will coordinate the selection, implementation, and upgrade of the business's software/applications and services. Implement and document a business recovery strategy for the purpose of resuming operations of system architecture in the event of an outage, or disaster. Establish security architecture, working with the Director of Cyber Intelligence, and implement procedures and controls that ensure that information and data are secure and in compliance with the security and storage regulations o the business. Lead the process and team in the analysis, enhancement, and tailoring of current practices and existing systems in order to increase operating efficiencies as well as reduce IT operational costs.
Work to ensure consistency and maintainability of existent infrastructure environments through the creation, maintenance and enforcement of well documented standards and procedures for the implementation of technical solutions. Constantly assess the effectiveness of the existing software/application, data and processed. Ensuring that all solutions are aligned with the overall business vision, mission and direction.
Key to coordinating the implementation of best practices and adoption of suitable trends. Also keeps track of all licensing on all IT related items.
Must have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable for this position.
Min of 10 years working experience in a senior IT position within a fast-paces and constantly evolving environment.
Must demonstrate experience with a wide variety of productivity and business software (cloud services) and have a proven track record of creative solution delivery
Demonstrate an understanding of network infrastructure technologies, inclusive of security solutions
Demonstrate an understanding of telecommunications
Demonstrate experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation as well As data storage solutions
Possess exceptionally good computer skills and be knowledgeable in enterprise level Cloud technologies and be competent in defect racking and agile delivery
Posses general understanding of key Enterprise Software such as (O365, SalesForce, NetSuite, Confluence, Slack, and general Conference Call Software (Zoom, What'sApp, etc.)
The candidate must demonstrate exceptionally strong leadership skills, having an ability to influence a cross-functional group towards a unified direction and having an ability to influence senior IT and Business leadership. Must be a people person who inspires trust and confidence in others, enabling them to easily trust their insights and judgements.
