The Manager/Senior Manager of Operations will be responsible for cross-functional business operations (including organisational processes and data privacy) and clinic operations (including point of care logistics in clinical studies and end-to-end operations in centres of excellence).

Our client is a mental health care company dedicated to accelerating patient access to evidence-based innovation in mental health. Their first major initiative is researching how novel psychoactive compound psilocybin can help patients suffering with treatment-resistant depression.

Roles and responsibilities

Responsibilities in business operations include (but are not limited to):

 Oversee all cross-functional organisational activities, including through the line management of the Operations and Business Intelligence Coordinator

o Yearly company goals

o Short-term goals (Objectives and Key Results or OKR)

o Roles and responsibilities (through the R.A.C.I. framework)

o Design and implementation of organisational policies

 Ensure company data security and privacy, including through the line management of

the Operations and Business Intelligence Coordinator

o Maintain appropriate data privacy compliance standards across company activities, including our clinical trials programme

o Act as Data Privacy Officer (DPO) for relevant regulatory frameworks

including the EU GDPR

 Be responsible for Budget forecasting across all business operations activities

 [potentially, based on seniority and timing] Be accountable for all office-based operations, including through the line management of the Team Administrator and the IT and Audio-Visual Lead

o Management of the (UK), additional offices (NYC), and worldwide flexible working operations

o Office-based information technologies, including technical and operational

o support as well as cybersecurity compliance and risk management

Responsibilities in clinic and centre of excellence operations include (but are not limited to):

 Be responsible for logistics related to treatment rooms at all clinical research sites, including through the line management of the Operations Coordinator

o Furniture at sites as part of our clinical trials programme across Europe, Canada and the US, to align with their treatment protocols

o Audio-visual equipment installation, operations and maintenance at sites

 Manage end-to-end operations in all centres of excellence

o Potentially two in North America by year-end 2020

o Any new centres of excellence

 Be responsible for Budget forecasting across all clinic operations activities

Profile

 Professional services (such as Management Consulting or Investment Banking), the healthcare industry (such as pharma), and/or in start-up environments

 Highly analytical and well-versed in financial modelling

 Excellent written and oral communication skills

 Strong attention to detail

 Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams across functional areas and geographies

 Knowledge of healthcare/life sciences industry a plus

 Excellent project management skills

 Desire to gain experience in a fast-paced and varied start-up environment

 Passion for improving and transforming mental health - in alignment with their values
