Our client is a fast-growing global technology consulting firm, focused on digital and operational transformation projects for the alternative investment management industry (consisting of private equity, real estate, private debt, infrastructure and hedge funds). They work with leading General Partners, Limited Partners and Financial Services institutions.

Their London office is currently seeking a talented and motivated Operations Manager to be a part of their growing team. The Operations Manager will report into the Director of Operations (who is based in NY) and will work closely with all levels of the Company in an effort to help evolve the Operations policies, procedures and tool set to help the Company become more efficient and continue to scale. The role will provide Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Data Migration and Reconciliation, Solution Testing and Report Specifications in the Operations group both within the UK but increasingly across their global footprint as they continue to grow. The role of Operations Manager will apply to both the ''change'' and ''run'' aspects of the Operations function within the company.



Responsibilities

They are looking for a talented professional to join as a Manager in their Operations team. The range of work includes:
  • Acting as regional point person for the Operations function supporting the business outside the US with regards to HR and IT support
  • Establishing and maturing operational processes and controls, administrative and reporting procedures
  • Ensuring that agreed methodologies, policies and procedures across both people and systems are in place and are being adhered to for the effective performance of the company
  • Contributing to and executing on strategic operations and technology plans and roadmaps
  • Conducting operational reviews and implementing the recommendations arising from these
  • Conducting system selection (Vendor Selection) to address identified gaps
  • Implementing, testing and training technology solutions across the Company



Activities

The role involves the following activities:
  • Ownership of specific weekly, monthly and quarterly Operational reporting and analytics
  • Driving and contributing to adhoc regional and global projects as prioritized by the Director of Operations and Global Leadership Team
  • Proactively manage Internal projects and working groups to ensure adherence to scope, timeline and budget constraints
  • Develop and articulate innovative yet achievable solutions to internal Operational challenges
  • Conduct Internal business process requirements gathering and validation and importantly present improvement opportunities for review and approval
  • Oversee the development and efficient documentation of business requirements, processes and data requirements
  • Provide input to and execute weekly / monthly status reporting
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with regional specific Operations related queries and analysis



Experience & Skills

To be considered for this role you will need the following knowledge and skills:
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in Consulting, Business Analysis, Project Management, System Implementations (SDLC), Audit, Accounting or Operations
  • Minimum education: bachelor's degree with additional CFA, CAIA, CPA or MBA preferred
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, legal documentation and best practices
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Able to deliver presentations and training in a formal environment
  • Proven skills in documentation, process analysis mapping (e.g. Visio), and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Team leader with ability to motivate and enable team members to be successful
  • Hands-on manager not afraid to roll up sleeves to get the job done
  • Works well under pressure, can handle and delegate workload effectively
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to help build consensus across Senior stakeholders
