Role Summary:

The Principle Quality Engineer is responsible for a team, of Quality Engineers and their performance. The Principle Quality Engineer manages the investigation and resolution process for quality issues - both internal as well as external - striving for continual improvement of operational performance and customer satisfaction!

Main Responsibilities:
  • Management and Operation of Customer Returns process and investigations, using a team approach, identifying root cause and CAPA
  • Detailed inspection of internally rejected components and products supplying statistical data and to facilitate the identification and implementation of corrective actions and continuous improvement
  • Timely review of quality site approvals and validation cycles for new and/or transferred products, processes, facilities and equipment
  • Establish and administer systems to monitor critical input/output process variables. Supporting process characterisation activities
  • Lead and implement strategic initiatives to reduce the number of internal and external non-conformities

Qualifications/Competencies/Skills:
  • Higher degree in an Engineering field
  • Extensive experience in QA in a ISO manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
  • Proven leadership track record
  • Willing to travel
