Health and Social Care Trainer/Skills Coach.

I are currently supporting a reputable Training Provider who have an Ofsted rating as Good.

Due to growth I am now recruiting for a Qualified Trainer/Assessor with experience of delivering and coaching learners up to level 5 who in Health and Social Care Apprenticeships

Due to Covid19, this role is home based, with all delivery carried out using Microsoft Teams

Duties of the Trainer/Assessor- will include:
  • To recruit and enrol and carry out initial assessments of learners
  • Supporting learners undertaking Apprenticeship Qualifications in Health and Social up to level 5
  • Marking and assessing course work and providing constructive support and feedback to the learner
  • Providing information and guidance to the learner during their apprenticeship
  • To support the learner with embedding of Functional Skills
  • Working to specific quality and completion of targets
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Supporting and guiding the learner through to End Point Assessment
  • To provide a friendly and supportive service to students, using a range of communication media
  • To provide support to the learners through a variety of platforms to include telephone, email, Microsoft Teams, and online learning platforms to include OneFile
  • To work within the standards set out by Awarding Bodies or other accrediting agencies, including verification and moderation systems, whether set internally or externally

Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required for the Health and Social Care Tutor /Skills Coach
  • Assessor qualified, A1, TAQA, CAVA,
  • Recognised teaching qualification e.g. PTTLS, Award in Education and Training
  • Minimum of level 3 qualifications in Adult Health and Social Care - ideally be prepared or already possess level 5
  • Experience of delivering and assessing Apprenticeship Programmes in Health and Social Care to level 5
  • Excellent IT Skills and proficient in using E-Portfolio's and Online Learning and Assessment platforms
  • Experience of using Microsoft Teams, and E-Portfolio's is highly desirable
  • Vocational competence ideally at Management level in Adult Health and Social Care
