Pipefitter Welder - Stainless Steel TIG


Immediate start available

Ongoing contract, 6 months +

Up to £23.00 p/h standard rate, dependant upon experience. OT available

There is no lodging allowance, you will need to live within a commutable distance of Peterborough.

Standard working hours: Mon - Fri 8am -16.30pm

OT available dependent on workload, up to 4 hours per day.

Weekends: Some weekend work maybe required depending on workload.

The company is a growing organisation specialising in process pipework and mechanical installation projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile pipefitter welder to join the company, supporting a high profile client in Peterborough.


As a suitably qualified pipefitter welder with stainless steel TIG welding experience you will be working within a manufacturing production facility in Peterborough. Primary duties will be fabricating, welding small and large bore stainless steel pipework, in both schedule and OD tubing. Other duties will include general fabrication in mild steel. The role includes bench work and on site work - no travelling is required as the role is based within the client's facility.

About You

You will need to be able to read installation drawings, measure, cut and TIG weld carbon steel and stainless pipework. You will need to be able to use your initiative and create your own basic drawings when needed. MIG and MMA welding experience is desirable but not essential. You will need to live within a commutable distance of Peterborough.

Demonstrable experience of pipefitting and butt welding stainless steel pipework.

CSCS not required. IPAF 3a/3b would be an advantage, but training will be provided where necessary.


In return for your experience you will receive a competitive rate of between £18.00 and £23.00 per hour. Rate subject to CIS/LTD status.
