The Workers` Educational Association is a unique charity and the UK`s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. Volunteers play a central role in everything we do, from governance through to classroom support, helping us deliver courses to 50,000 people in 2,300 locations - and enabling us to reach 80% of the population.
Developing, delivering and maintaining a key educational programme within a devolved area, you will ensure that our students enjoy an outstanding experience. At the heart of our closely-knit area team, you will support and manage tutors, and identify business development opportunities alongside working to targets to achieve overall success of the project.
You will also find yourself involved in specialist aspects of regional educational provision, with a particular focus on working within a devolved area. Travel to visit classes in centres across the whole area is required.
We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic, and pro-active, with a positive attitude. You will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with the team to achieve the organisation's aims and objectives.
This role will support tutors and a diverse range of students therefore communication is key. Experience of working in adult community education is a priority and it is essential to have good IT skills to support tutors and students with online and face to face education provision.
